Man glaubt ihnen heute gerne. Bereitwillig.
All dies sagt er. All dies tun sie.

Egypten:
But in a split second, everything changed. Men had been groping me for a while, but suddenly, something shifted. I found myself being dragged from my male friend, groped all over, with increasing force and aggression. I screamed. I could see what was happening and I saw that I was powerless to stop it. I couldn’t believe I had got into this situation.
My friend did everything he could to hold onto me. But hundreds of men were dragging me away, kicking and screaming. I was pushed onto a small platform as the crowd surged, where I was hunched over, determined to protect my camera. But it was no use. My camera was snatched from my grasp. My rucksack was torn from my back – it was so crowded that I didn’t even feel it. The mob stumbled off the platform – I twisted my ankle.
Men began to rip off my clothes. I was stripped naked. Their insatiable appetite to hurt me heightened. These men, hundreds of them, had turned from humans to animals.
Hundreds of men pulled my limbs apart and threw me around. They were scratching and clenching my breasts and forcing their fingers inside me in every possible way. So many men. All I could see was leering faces, more and more faces sneering and jeering as I was tossed around like fresh meat among starving lions.
I shouted “salam! Salam! Allah! Allah!”. In my desperate state I also shouted “ma’is salaama!” which actually means “goodbye” – just about the worst possible thing to say to a horde of men trying to ruin me. I might as well have yelled “goodbye cruel world! Down I go!”
A small minority of men, just a couple at first, tried to protect me and guide me to a tent. The tent was crushed, its contents scattered into shards all over the ground. I was barefoot as they stole my nice new shoes. I was tossed around once more, being violated every second. I was dragged naked across the dirty ground. Men pulled my blonde hair.
The men trying to protect me tried to guide me into another tent. I was able to scramble onto the ground.I sat with my back against a chair and surveyed the surging mob. Although a few men tried to form a human shield around me, offering me rags to cover my bruised body, men were still able to touch me. There were just too many.
I felt surprisingly calm. I understood what was happening and just transcended into a detached state of mind. I gazed around at the bared teeth and raging eyes. The tent began to collapse and I was cloaked in a huge sheet. I was struggling to breathe. One man lifted a tent pole and attempted to strike me with it.
At this point, I said aloud to myself, calmly, over and over, “please God. Please make it stop. Please God. Please make it stop.”
I’m not religious. But at times of desperation, we all feel compelled to appeal to some higher power to save us. It’s human nature. The need to feel safe and loved is what compels many to reach for religion in the first place.
An ambulance forced its way through the crowd. It opened its doors, and was invaded by tens of men. It closed up and drove away.
I began to think, “maybe this is just it. Maybe this is how I go, how I die. I’ve had a good life. Whether I live or die, this will all be over soon. Maybe this is my punishment for some of the emotional pain I’ve caused others through some foolish mistakes and poor judgement recently. I hope it’s quick. I hope I die before they rape me.”
I looked up and saw a couple of women in burkas scattered around. They looked at me blankly, then looked away.

The Israeli-Egyptian border may not see a serious escalation of violence in the near future. The Egyptian military will try to maintain the peace in the Sinai, while Morsi will try to blame Israel for any violent incident involving Palestinian terrorists.
But rhetoric cannot match actions, and the Egyptian military will keep on calling the shots on that front for the time being. Still, the current status-quo may not last forever.
We can only hope that the looming civil unrest would not bring about an absolute victory to the Islamists. We can only hope that most Egyptians, after realizing the consequences of their recent actions, will wake up and substitute euphoria with reality when they go inside the booth during their next presidential elections.
We can only hope…

(Egypt Independent) — Religious vigilantes claimed responsibility for the death of a Student in Suez on Facebook Monday, after attacking him for walking with his fiancée.
The student passed away in Ismailia University Hospital, the state newspaper Al-Akhbar reported.
Suez security chief had received reports that Ahmed Hussein Eid, an engineering student, died of stabbing wounds.
Al-Akhbar said that victim, a 20-year-old engineering student, was walking with his fiancée and cousin towards a minibus stop in the Arbaeen neighborhood, when three bearded men wearing white Galabeyas on a motorcycle stopped him.
They asked him about the girl accompanying him. When he told him that she is his fiancée, they warned him against walking with her because it is “haram, and it is an abomination.” The student shouted in their faces and told them that he is free to do what he wants and it is none of their business.
One of the three men then stabbed him in the groin with a knife and they ran away with their motorcycle.
The Facebook page “Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Authority” that adopts the Saudi model for religious police, who search for those violating Sharia, said on Monday that they are responsible for the killing of the student. The page said that the killed student was standing with a woman and they were advising him not to do that. But the student insulted them and they later attacked him with the knife, killing him.
The incident comes amid increasing reports of attacks against individuals by some religious men. Last week two middle-aged men were killed by “bearded people” because they work for a musical group.

Torah Scrolls Ransomed from Ramallah
Four Torah scrolls returned to the neighborhood of Gilo in Jerusalem on Tuesday, six months after they were stolen. Rabbi Moshe Ben-Abu told Arutz Sheva what happened.
The scrolls were stolen, apparently with help from one of the Arab workers who built the synagogue, he said. The event shocked and saddened synagogue members, who decided to do what they could to get the holy texts back. In the end, they managed to make contact with the thieves in Ramallah, and to buy the scrolls back for $20,000.
Residents of the area are considering installing alarms in synagogues to protect their Torah scrolls in the future, he added.
Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has made Turkey a party to Syria’s bloodshed by interfering in Damascus’s internal affairs and by giving logistical support to the rebels, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told a Turkish newspaper.
Assad also accused the Turkish leader of being “two-faced” by pursuing a sectarian agenda in the region and trying to persuade Damascus to introduce political reforms while ignoring the killings and democratic shortfalls in Gulf Arab states. (Reuters)
eport says Hezbollah using Lebanon’s banks in money-laundering scheme, calls on firms to dump Lebanese debt.
In a move that could destabilize Beirut’s financial position, a US pressure group urged international financial firms on Tuesday to ditch Lebanese debt and securities, saying that Hezbollah is using Lebanon’s banks in a large scale money-laundering scheme that is also helping Iran evade banking sanctions.
New York-based United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI) made public the results of a three-month, confidential investigation into the influence of Iran and Hezbollah on Lebanon’s banking system and its sovereign bond market. The group says Lebanon’s financial system – including Banque du Liban, the country’s central bank – is being used to funnel massive amounts of illicit cash from Hezbollah and its state sponsor, Iran.
Lebanon’s banks then use the laundered money to buy Lebanese sovereign debt, which has the effect of making the country appear far more financially stable than it actually is, UANI claims.
In a recent letter to Banque du Liban’s governor, Riad T. Salame, UANI CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace said Lebanon had become a “sovereign money-laundering jurisdiction that receives massive inflows of illicit deposits from Hezbollah terror and criminal activities.” Wallace accused Lebanon of using the massive amounts of illicit funding to create a false picture to global markets of economic stability, particularly regarding Lebanese sovereign bonds and credit default swaps.
“In fact, the real picture of Lebanon and its sovereign backed securities reveals a fraud and market manipulation that is used by Hezbollah, Banque du Liban and the Lebanese banking system to continue money laundering on a massive scale,” he added.
The massive funds came from Hezbollah’s criminal activities and some also came from Syria, according to UANI.
Wallace said that the large majority of the illegal funds were laundered into the Lebanese banking system by front companies, Hezbollah supporters and Hezbollah Bayt al-Mal ‘(“House of Money”), a Hezbollah-controlled organization that carries out financial services for the terror group.
Iran also transacts funds through the Lebanese banking system to evade the effects of international sanctions, including the banking embargo, Wallace added. He told Salame that Teheran was directing increasing support to Hezbollah to evade sanctions pressure by ensuring its proxy’s stability.
Iran’s support for Hezbollah is widely known. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah publicly announced in a February speech that the Islamic Republic supports the terror group.
In May, a US court ordered Iran to pay $44.6 million in damages to victims of Hezbollah’s 1983 US Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, after ruling that the Lebanese terror group carried out the attack with massive technological and material support from Iran.
FBI experts testified that at the time of the attack, the PETN explosives used in the bomb were only manufactured in bulk form in Iran.
Earlier this year, Salame told Wallace that the Lebanese Central Bank does not have any relationship with Iran’s Central Bank, Bank Markazi, and that there is only one Iranian bank, Bank Saderat Iran, in Lebanon. According to the US Treasury Department, which in 2007 designated Bank Saderat as a terror supporter, Iran uses the bank to transfer millions of dollars to several terror groups, including Hezbollah, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Meanwhile, UANI say they have also written to Lebanese bondholders and international bond credit agencies, calling on the latter to issue a “no rating” for Lebanon. Lebanese sovereign debt is currently rated by Standard and Poor’s as B (highly speculative). Four financial firms – Austrian Erste-Sparinvest, Finnish bank Aktia, US-based Eaton Vance and Ameriprise Financial – have already divested from Lebanese debt securities, according to UANI.
UANI has also called for the US Treasury to designate Lebanon as a jurisdiction of primary money laundering concern under the Patriot Act, as it has previously done with Iran.
UANI’s accusations come days after US officials targeted a Hezbollah-linked drugmoney- laundering network in Colombia.
Last Wednesday, the US Treasury named four people and three companies it said are involved in laundering drug trafficking monies for Hezbollah-linked drug kingpin Ayman Joumaa. The Treasury also designated a Colombia- based individual, Ali Mohamad Saleh, as directing Hezbollah’s fundraising activities from business owners and residents in the Americas.
